I woke up Thursday morning to the sound of rain hitting against my window.
It was nice. I didn't want to get up, but I knew I had to.
This is where things went wrong.
I got out of bed, and fell flat on my face. Not a good way to wake up.
The
loud 'thud' of my body making hard contact with the floor, not to
mention the crash caused by the stack of books I knocked over woke Lori
up and she wanted to know what I was doing. I had no answer to that.
My
left leg was completely numb. It wasn't asleep. There was no tingling
or needle feelings, I just couldn't feel my leg. My right leg seems to
be working properly, but my left leg still feels very weak. Plus, I
think I broke a couple of my toes. They are killing me. And one is black now.
Anyway, I
pulled myself up by grabbing the bedpost and pulling fist over fist
until I was standing. I tried my legs again and had to grab the post to
stay up.
Finally, I made it to the shower where my brain tried to
figure out what was going on. Stroke? Hope not. Slept on my leg wrong?
Probably.
Whatever it was, I hope it doesn't happen again.
I've
felt like crap all week. I feel like I'm coming down with the flu, or
exhaustion. Maybe my leg problem has something to do with that. My head
is pounding even as I type this, but that may be because of my fall.
If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate the comments.
My legs are on strike....

Why I'm Here...
Friday, April 4, 2008, 10:23 AM EST [General]
I'm not a doctor, and I don't play one on tv.
I'm an artist and a graphic designer.
That's why I'm here. I like to design for the medical industry. Ads, business cards, logos...anything!
So that's my connection to the medical industry.
Another reason I'm here is because my great friend invited me. Thanks Bill!
