    Endoscopic brain surgery

My problem is I'm looking for medical journals on brain surgery...and any cases related to a part of the brain that would be growing off the main central brain that might have been mistaken for a tumor or sist. You see my niece went in for brain surgery yesterday 6/16/08  for a sist removal, but it turned out to be part of her brain that had grown in the path of one of her ventricle veins (I'm not sure on the spelling) she was no doubt born with it they say. She was suffering from migraine headaches. Due to this new problem they did not remove it, but have never come across anything like this before. She has yet to wake up and there are major concerns from the doctors. Where can I find medical journals that may have  similar cases? The doctors are doing their research, but they are also busy trying to keep her stable. They now say she may have bleeding in the back of the brain, and that is preventing her from waking up. She can not open her eyes, and they do not respond to any light. She can not speak and can olny move very little, she is non-responsive. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing as part of the brain grow as if a tumor?

Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
