Medical Mingle was built based on an idea that I had. There are social networks like MySpace, and there are professional networks like LinkedIn. However, there are very few hybrid networks that include both social and professional components. As this is a niche network for people working as health care professionals, individuals servicing the health care and medical field, and students studying to become health care and medical professionals, I saw no reason why both components couldn’t successfully reside on the same site. If people strictly wish to utilize the social components of Medical Mingle, they can. If people strictly wish to utilize the professional aspects of Medical Mingle, they can do so as well. If people want to use both the social and professional aspects of the site, they are then tapping Medical Mingle’s full potential.  

My goal in creating Medical Mingle was to create a site where health care and medical professionals, individuals that service the health care and medical field, and students studying to become health care and medical professionals can hang out, make friends and have fun interacting, network, and find content that can be helpful both personally and professionally. Of course, when it’s time to look for job, links to Absolutely Health Care appear on Medical Mingle, and Medical Mingle visitors and members are welcome to use Absolutely Health Care, as well as our other services to find a new job.
