Facebook is a huge social network that allows anyone of age that has an email address to join.
Medical Mingle is the free professional social network for people interested in, working in, servicing, or studying for a career in the health care and medical field. Though we don't restrict our membership, this is our target audience. We also welcome you to invite your adult family members and friends whom you'd like to communicate with here.
I'm also on Facebook, and as a pure social network, Facebook offers lots of fun things that we don't, but we offer lots of things that Facebook doesn't. Facebook doesn't have forums and a general blog, and you can't learn about most members unless you become their friend first. They also don't offer all of the professional content that we do. Those are things that I REALLY like about our site by comparison. Facebook also doesn't offer the terrific contests and recognition that we do. For the advantages of each is why I like being on both sites.

I find MedicalMingle more interesting than Facebook, purely because I am not looking for dates, hook ups, tc. It seems nicer, too! I also know that the one time I had an issue with a negative experience, it was quickly addressed and has not occurred since. I like the fact that this site is big, but still gets personal attention and input from the owner. Thanks Ken!
