Current Contest (Effective September 1, 2009):
Our monthly contest until further notice will be a content related contest. We want people to join to participate and enjoy themselves. We hope all of our members will continue to recruit new members, so you can have fun with them on Medical Mingle.
This contest will be a jack-of-all-trades contest.
All members are eligible to participate.
Here are the rules:
1. During the month, I will offer the ability to earn points doing certain things on our site. For example, I might offer a point to anyone who posts a blog post on a particular Sunday.
2. If you've earned points in # 1 above, you will also earn points as follows:
a. If your profile contains a real picture of you, and not an Avatar, you'll receive 1 point.
b. If in my opinion, your profile has been filled out with lots of detail, you'll receive 1 point. I will check this at the end of the month. CLICK HERE to see mine as an example.
c. If you have posted pictures to Medical Mingle, you will receive 1 point. I will check this at the end of the month.
d. If you have posted videos to Medical Mingle, you'll receive 1 point. I will check this at the end of the month.
e. If you have posted at least one blog post, you'll receive 1 point. I will check this at the end of the month.
f. If you have made any friends on Medical Mingle aside from me, you'll receive 1 point. I will check this at the end of the month.
g. If you are a member of any groups on Medical Mingle, you'll receive 1 point. I will check this at the end of the month.
3. At the end of the month, the member who earns the most points (from # 1 above and #2 above - if eligible) will be the contest winner, and the member who earns the second most points will be the runner up.
4. Usually there is a tie with multiple members earning the same number of points (from # 1 above and # 2 above - if eligible). If that happens, we will have a drawing using random.org to determine the winner and runner up. Members eligible for the drawing will receive an entry for each point that they earn (from # 1 above and # 2 above - if eligible). Before the drawing, we will give those members participating in the drawing the ability to earn multiple bonus entries. Bonus entries are earned as follows:
a. Members that have the highest number of cumulative contributions in the following categories will get 1 bonus entry:

b. Members will receive 1 bonus entry for each badge that they have earned in our User Loyalty Program. CLICK HERE for details.
