Alright time to vent or at least feel some empathy across the nation. Gas prices just hit $ 3.99 a gallon in Louisville, KY !!!! I am not sure whether I need to take a 2nd mortgage on the house or sell a kidney. I guess I would get a better return on the Kidney since the housing market is in the crapper also !!What can someone sell a kidney for these days? 1000 gallons of gas?

I have not been to the gas station for a fill up, now that you've mentioned the cost of gas there in KY, I am almost afraid to check the prices here in Rochester, NY. Selling a kidney sounds good and probably the price would even be better if you can put in the ureter with it too!

I filled up yesterday and it was almost $70.00. How are people that live on small incomes going to make it?

This is a very depressing subject. I filled up yesterday too and paid $3.89 per gallon. One of our local groceries has a thing called Pump Perks where you get so much off per gallon for buying certain products. They change weekly. A few weeks ago, I actually accumlated $1.89 per gallon off per gallon (limit 15 gallons) but it sure helped!

Here's a different slant on this: Why pump prices need to stay high
