What helpful hobby would you suggest to a stressed healthcare professional to have, to help him/her cope or to calm them down?

exercise is a good one, but sometimes after a long day all you want to do is relax and go to sleep! I would recommend a massage! If you have energy tennis is always good or maybe a puzzle.

Well since I have been disabled I had to find something to do because I was really depressed so I started making wreaths for the new moms to hang on their hospital room door. I do all kinds and put different baby items on them. I also do diaper cakes. I have done a wreath for a funeral and a flower arrangement for a tombstone. I really like the baby door wreaths. It is alot of fun trying to figure out what all to put on them. I have pics of some of the ones I have done.

I always like to read to get "un-stressed"...NOT online reading but a REAL book. If the book is really good, I just can't put it down and have to force myself to do so. I LOVE to read. |

I am big on reading, but for real de-stressing, give me scrapbooking any day! I do traditional paper scrapbooking, but check out my photos for pages that are completely digitally created! PhotoShop is not as scary as it looks and there are literally thousands of free resources online. If you are interested, email me and I will make a list of links for you. You can even use MS Word or an online site like Scrapblog to get started! I put my pages on a DVD and watch them when I need something to cheer me up! |
