Best treats for dogs?

I want to keep my lab's teeth clean but after the pet scare I'm not sure what kind of chew treats to give her.

I have a chocolate lab and I have stopped giving her bones that have been cooked. I am afraid to buy store chews but I do occasionally buy her the Busy Bones (anyone tried these?). I don't think they actually help with her teeth. I used to give her the big bones you buy in the packages but then I read that cooked bones can splinter and hurt her so I stopped giving her those. I also used to give her rawhides and then I read that the ones that get made in China can have harmful stuff added to them. It's so frustrating since the pet scare to know what kind of treats I can give her. I think uncooked soup bones would be safe but I don't get to the grocery store that often. What kinds of treats do you guys give to your dogs? My dog is so big and she can go through one of the large Busy Bones in about 10 minutes.

Nyla bones are good and they take a while for larger dogs to go through.  Stay away from anything directly from animals like "soup bones".  They not only can get stuck in a dog's digestive track, but dogs, especially labs are susceptible to Pancreatitis a condition caused by dog's eating human food.  Dog's cannot digest fatty food and people food in general so your dog can get very sick.  Pancreatitis causes vomiting, diarrhea, inappetance, and sometimes can be fatal if not treated.  I also like Dingo bones for my dog.  She goes through them quickly, but absolutely loves them!

Also, rawhide is fine (the pressed rawhide in the retriever rolls) with the dental coating on it is good.  Your dog won't go through it quick.  Just don't leave your dog alone with it, because they can choke on it if left unattended.  See my other forum, "pet advice".  I was an emergency veterinary nurse for 2 years and on and off for an additional year.  I have seen a lot of things, and am quite knowledgeable.
