It is what I'm looking for, but I have to quit my job at the library to do and although it's only part-time, it pays pretty well and I get tuition reimbursement for classes. Because of my job in the library, I am administrator for the program Moodle which many instructors use to give exams and help students keep track of their grades. In the past, a student at the college had the same privelidges. She modified one of her grades. She was terminated and expelled. Since then, it's a rule that Moodle administators cannot be students. I would have to resign even though I need the job for income and the tuition reimbursement. I'm hoping that either the civilian job with the Navy come through or the position with Cancer Treatment Center of America. They're both in by Chicago, full-time, and near a college where I could take classes towards an ADN or even BSN!

Very cool. I'm glad you found what you were looking for. I looked all over, and couldn't find anything. I'm usually very resourceful, but this had me stumped.

Ken, I just know from work that there will be one starting at the college where I work at. The program will be called NION, I believe? It will be an ADN program through a consolidation of community colleges in this area that will totally be online. I was hoping someone else knew of one like this somewhere else, but I guess this will be the first?
Dimple, ADN c'est a dire Associates Degree in Nursing.

Thanks Monique! Sheri is a recruiter on here and she knows where there are travel CNA jobs. Once I am fully trained at my current CNA job, I'll venture out. The online ADN will be through Highland Community College, Sauk Valley College, and Rock Valley College starting in 2009. I'll let you know when it gets started, but it'll be a brand new program. We both might want to wait until they work out the bugs. Thanks again.

They do have travel CNA's. It is hard to find a company that does it, but they do have it, and you can make more than what you make as a staff CNA. Also, if you like animals you can be a vet assistant. They make anywhere from $10-$12/hr. If you can find someplace that does do online nursing, let me know! You can also look into getting into sales. You can make a pretty good living, it is just hard for someone to give you a chance if you don't have experience, but someone will, I am living proof! Also, you could work for a chiropractor and be a chiropractor assistant, again about a $10-$12/hr starting out, but you can end up making more probably up to about $15/hr. It is a fairly easy job, but you can learn alot. I did it for 7 years.

The place where I got my CNA is where I work. Luckily, I didn't have access to those tests so I could take the class. The place where I got my BA doesn't have a nursing program. What I have tried to do is find a job some place else like in by Chicago, but nothing pays as well. And, because I live so far away, no one will hire me there because they would have to move me. I've interviewed for non medical positions such as administrative assistant for 2 Fortune 500 companies, but I don't have enough business experience. I'm waiting to hear about a job as a library technician with the Navy at Great Lakes, IL or as a medical/administrative assitant with Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, IL. Either one of these would be good, so I wouldn't be working 2 part-time jobs to try to make ends meet. Also, there's several colleges close by that I could enroll in nursing school out there and I could use my foreign languages. If anyone prays, please pray that I get one of these jobs.

Did you try the school where you got your CNA and BA? Sometimes they might have an accelerated program for 2nd degree students. That is what my school has and I can get my BSN in 16 mo. It isn't online though.
