    headed out

Monday, July 7, 2008, 10:03 AM EST [General]

Just finished packing to head back up to Laurel Mountain. It'll be a longer trip since I'm leaving from IL this time. This is the third trip.  Wish us luck.   we're still looking for those brown bats.   :)

    holiday

I just got back from Laurel Mountain again.  We only got two bats this time.  I'll be going back again.  Keep your fingers crossed for me that we find an Indiana bat or a brown bat.  If we get a brown, the USGovt will come in for the study.  Happy 4th.

    Arthritis

Sunday, May 18, 2008, 11:01 AM EST [General]

We all know that arthritis is debilitating.  There are many myths associated with arthritis.  One is lack of calcium, another is poor posture, strenuous exercise, cracking your knuckles, etc.  The list goes on.

As arthritis myths go this is a biggie, . When you "crack" a joint you're actually either snapping the ligament over the joint or pulling on the joint, which causes a negative nitrogen bubble. "You're not cracking the bone, just manipulating the joint to make it feel better," a well-known Dr says.  My mother always warned that popping my knuckles could lead to arthritis when I got older.  Hey Mom, not so.  :).

    one more

Thursday, May 1, 2008, 11:31 AM EST [General]

I'm getting ready to take another exam today.   So far I've done well.  IF all goes as planned, I should have all A's and 1 B.  Then I get to move.  I might start moving a little this weekend so there won't be so much to do.  We'll see.

    finals week

Monday, April 28, 2008, 12:08 PM EST [General]

This is the final week of school for me and it's also finals all week.  I've studied until I think I can't study anymore but then the books call me and I start in again.  I think I have brain overload.  My first exam is at 1 pm but I feel very comfortable about it.
