A wonderful regional facility nestled within Cleveland area communities is seeking an engaging and experienced leader to create a vision for nursing and the nursing staff, provide advocacy for its clinical teams as well as continue to enhance productivity while containing costs in a competitive market.
The Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for directing and evaluating the provision of patient care services in the departments and divisions assigned to this position. In addition, the Vice-President is responsible for establishing standards of nursing practice for the hospital and for establishing a mechanism to ensure that nursing care is provided in accordance with those standards [quality, licensing and accreditation standards].
Key functions of the position include planning, leading, organizing, and evaluating. Monitoring of quality and budgeting standards, and managing to achieve corporate goals are essential aspects of the job. As a member of the hospital administrative team, the Vice-President functions at the executive management level of the hospital. The Vice-President functions as a member of key medical and planning committees of the hospital.
The minimum qualifications include at least ten years of increasing responsibility in management. Due to the responsibility and level of exposure and leadership, an M.S.N., M.B.A. is highly preferred as is experience within an acute care facility.
