Job Description

Under the general direction of the VP of Operations, the Chief Radiation Therapist will coordinate, assign and oversees the performance of the Radiation Therapy staff`s performance in order to provide high quality, cost-effective patient care. The individual in this role will also perform radiation therapy procedures as staffing and workload requires.

Qualifications

Requirements: • Completion of a therapeutic radiological technology training program at an approved school. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desirable. • Certified Radiological Technologist in State of California. • ARRT Certification required. • 5+ years of experience as a staff radiation therapist • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience. • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within first 30 days of employment. • Willingness to travel and work at multiple sites on a consistent basis an absolute must.

GENERAL SURGEON OPPORTUNITY

This is not a hospital salaried position however the surgeon would be guaranteed $250,000 a year for two years. After that time, they would join a small practice across the street from the hospital which right now consists of two full-time positions and two part-time positions.



4-day work week.



Call is 1 in 4. The office manager tries to schedule each surgeon only having one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and 1 to 2 days a week.



The potential income depends on the individual surgeon and how they want to schedule their time. A surgeon can be very busy here or keep their cases to a moderate number so that they can spend quality time with their family as well.



The surgical cases are typical general surgery cases; including elective cholecystectomies, GI cancers, laparoscopic hernia repair, hernia surgery, breast surgery, GI surgery, thyroid and emergent general surgery appendicitis, perforated diverticulitis, bowel obstructions, diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopies and colonoscopies.



The hospital currently has 49 beds with plans to add a third floor next year.


The surgical volume is moderate but continues to increase.


A lot of our patients are out-patients and come from all over the Western Slope. We are a hospital that remains quite busy.



This facility has been in business for over forty years, we just built a new hospital building in 2004 so the Emergency Department and Surgery Department are quite new.
